  11. Hi, all, i think should not start any CCTV/ card access system first. For sure, we will wait for security improvement plan how to upgrade the entrance of main gate and identification of every visitors is very important.. Besides, ID card for avilla residents need to be implemented initially..

  12. I think we should make a banner about this new blog site, and let more people know that we have a new blog for all the Avillian community:)

  13. Steven, good idea.

However, it could be a problem to some residents in creating a new email add in Google. It really depends at the end of the day how important they see this BLOG is for them. At the current rate the economic conditions are prevailing, it means more time spent on work due to worries of job retrenchments and job sharing rather than spending more time on social activities. It is also normal that people would participate in FORUMS and BLOGS whenever a situation dictates them to ask for help from the community.

  14. hi, just to clear some misconception. As of now, you DONT need a google account to read or post comments here. Only if u want to write blog entry, then u need to have gmail. But right now, the privilege to post blog entry is only open to few. All others can freely write comment to post or at the shout out box WITHOUT google account.Again, will appreciate names with comments so we know who is commenting.

So....anybody can access to this forum??? Then there are no privacy and there will be some security issues, because we don't know who are watching us with "motive"....

  16. you have got a point there, Bulldoggie. We have requested our fellow member to test whether certain topics could be protected with only members access like the one sutramas-kl blogspot (just an example) has done. As of now, we have been advised that it's either a customisation setup of restricted access for all or none at all.
Also, on top of that, we want to make sure that this site will attract adequate AA residents to log in and interact with each other before our fellow administrators of this BLOG proceed with a more advanced stage to cosmetically enhance it.
As of now, definitely, hot topics like financials, excursion parties (if we have one in the future), complaints, associations, social activities and others should be kept confidential from outsiders prying eyes. However, pls do not refrain yourself from contributing to the BLOG. If the BLOG is proven to be an ineffective tool in getting the residents united, a similar consequence would befall the committee members to work hand in hand with the residents which slowly, and surely will lead to a start of an apathy community in AA.

  17. I just spoke to Jeremy from reliance -the boom gate company. He said that they got it up yesterday but got hit by lightning again.I asked him why wasn't there an lightning arrestor installed in the first place!! He said according to the IOI contract there wasn't a provision for an arrestor in the first place.Called Sukvinder but she's not in.

    cheers

  22. Yes, i agreed, the internal walls are really dirty and need a coat of new paint and also the roads with so many pot holes, heard from the committee ppl say repair coming soon but still no repair for so long.

  23. The main refuse collection area is a breeding ground for mosquito. Spoilt furniture, mattresses, TV and other bulky items not picked up by Alam Flora is really an eyesore. Alam Flora only collects domestic waste and discard the rest at site.

  24. Kudos to the management for job well done.
CCTV should be installed in the lifts as well to deter smokers and vandals from ripping off the lifts. Any future maintenance on the lifts will be costly.

  25. hello, rest assured the pothole issues are being looked into. Just a matter of choosing the right contractor for the right price. Too cheap and the repair might not last, too expensive will not be good for avilla. Pls be patient.

My parking is just next to the 2 big potholes so i also wish the pothole to be fixed asap:)

Thanks all for keeping up with this blog but so sorry as i've been really busy to update any new material. But i do check in here and forward your suggestions and complains to the management. Do post more.
